Leafly Introduces Online Education Platform for Budtenders
Cannabis resource Leafly has launched a new program aimed at educating so-called budtenders on the science of cannabis.
Called Leafly Learn, the new online education platform gives dispensary workers the “tools to really understand the science and art around budtending.”
According to a press release, the curriculum will be exclusively available to Leafly retail clients.
“Budtenders are the face of the cannabis industry and the frontline for guiding customers toward products that will work best for them,” Leafly content director Rebecca Kelley said via a press release.
“We built Leafly Learn with an understanding of the crucial role budtenders play in educating customers, and created this learning platform so that budtenders everywhere can feel supported in their careers and have more confidence in their product recommendations,” she added.
According to the company’s website, retailers can access Leafly Learn for free through October 31. Leafly “pro” clients will receive access as part of their monthly subscription, while “standard” clients can utilize the platform for $50 per month, per store.
To help launch the course – which includes interactive exercises and quizzes – Leafly is introducing the program to budtenders in 16-cities across the U.S. and providing “hands-on training.”
The launch of Leafly Learn comes less than a week after the Seattle-based company unveiled a “Cannabis Guide” that helps consumers select strains.
