Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business or another relevant field
  • 10+ years senior level experience within Cannabis
  • Knowledge of Cannabis cultivation, extraction and manufacturing
  • Operated in a multi-state large scale cannabis environment

Additional Qualification:

  • Post-secondary education preferred
  • Expert understanding of cannabis extraction and manufacturing
  • Demonstrable strategy and execution capability
  • Experience of leading and motivating a high-performance Team
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements for operating facilities
  • Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills

  • Strategic Definition – Define and implement the extraction and manufacturing strategy aligned with the Company's and Operations vision and direction.
  • Operational Execution – Plan, organize, direct and manage the optimized day-to-day extraction and manufacturing activities in order to exceed our customers' expectations and achieve business objectives.
  • End-to-End Manufacturing Operations – Manage end-to-end extraction and manufacturing activities ensuring all deliverables are met including:
    • Standardize extraction and manufacturing methods and systems that deliver world class product capability with the goal of minimizing cost, increasing productivity and upholding quality and consistency at each Facility
    • Lead product manufacturing commercialization, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality products with efficient production methods
    • Define all extraction and production procedures, including the standards at a State or National level
    • Oversee and support the setup and operation of the extraction lab
    • Oversee various extraction methodologies as well as required post-processing output
    • Develop workflow optimization and schedules ensuring high-quality yields
    • Develop and maintain extraction operations by defining and implementing operational policies
    • Manage SOP definition, capacity planning, critical equipment, plant capability, resource planning etc
    • Own critical equipment needs and standardize and implement across all Facilities with appropriate governance and control on suppliers, cost and maintenance programs
  • SOP Standardization – Support all State Facilities in implementing a standardized approach to extraction and manufacturing ensuring consistent workflow optimization.
  • Compliance – Oversee and ensure compliance with all company standards and requirements.
  • Functional Alignment – Ensure alignment with other key Stakeholders as required.
  • Performance Definition – Define and implement relevant performance targets to maximize manufacturing performance in key areas including costs, volume, service and product quality.
  • Continuous Improvement – Implement a continuous improvement program to resolve underlying issues impacting performance and deliver improvement across the operation.
  • People Leadership – Recruit, lead, manage and coach a high-performance Team both at the center and provide support to State Cultivation and Manufacturing Facilities fostering an environment of knowledge, performance continuous improvement.
  • Relationship Management – Build engagement and alignment across the extraction and manufacturing community.
