  • Reviews and analyzes ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)/MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data and purchase requisitions and converts to purchase orders.
  • Tracks, monitors progress and coordinates logistics for open purchase orders by doing a weekly review of an open purchase order report.
  • Notifies key stakeholders and documents unexpected price increases or decreases.
  • Enters and adjusts key milestones in the ERP system (vendor confirmation, anticipated ship date, expected receipt date, etc.).
  • Effectively and efficiently communicates with and between vendors and internal customers who may need further information or clarity to ensure proper part or service is ordered and received.
  • Takes the lead in resolving any non-confirming receipt (damaged, wrong part, short-shipped, over-shipped, etc.) by working with vendor, the Gaia requisitioner, Gaia receiving department and Gaia accounts payable.
  • Tracks key supplier data points for periodic evaluation and annual scorecard.
  • Assists Procurement Manager with administrative assistance in submitting necessary QA paperwork for new items, new suppliers and spec changes for existing items.
  • Adjusts purchasing plan to support business needs based upon forecast changes, product expiration, economic order quantity and formulation changes.
  • Provides data for and participates in the annual budgeting process.
  • Provides ad hoc reporting to Supply Chain and Executive Management as requested.
  • Manages MRP, purchase orders, and invoicing for 200+ materials.
  • Supports new product and R&D projects though timely procurement and coordination of materials.
  • Identifies and negotiates price reductions and cost-savings where applicable, without sacrificing quality.
  • Regularly analyzes and recommends changes to ERP/MRP master data, including lead time, planning methods, safety stock, order cover time, lot sizes, etc.



Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in purchasing, supply chain, or other related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in supply chain purchasing and planning
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience with ERP/MRP software required.
  • Professional certification from ISM, APICS or other supply chain entity preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to translate, statistically analyze data, and effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats
  • Ability to collaborate with and provide recommendations to internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of packaging, materials and components as related to supplement industry highly desired
  • Advanced Microsoft suite knowledge
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP software
