Kiva is seeking a Project Manager to join our growing Operations team to help lead the execution of our three year product pipeline. Innovation is the lifeblood of Kiva. Our pipeline is focused on innovating to meet the needs of the new and existing cannabis consumer, whether it’s being one of the first brands to test for potency, being the first in the edibles category to introduce discreet portable packaging, or using unique blends of terpenes to deliver targeted effects. In order to meet our goals of being the worldwide leader in edibles, we’ll need to accelerate the pace at which we introduce product innovation to the US market.
The project manager will work closely with all functions in the organization including Marketing, R&D, Procurement, Sales, Legal, and Quality to lead the team through the commercialization of our innovation and renovation projects. Developing a standardized process for launching products, timeline creation and management, and problem solving are critical components of this role. This position reports to the Director of Operations.
The successful candidate will work directly with internal team members and outside vendors to ensure deliverables fall within the defined scope and budget. They will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and identify resource gaps needed to meet project objectives and timelines.
As Kiva's Operations Project Manager, you will...
Develop a standardized process for which Kiva commercializes innovation and renovation projects (reformulations, new packaging and/or new equipment installations)
Manage from start-to-finish the entire scope of innovation and renovation projects; owning all areas of the schedule, timeline, budget, and change management
Create and manage a detailed project plan in Asana complete with dependencies, owners, deadlines and duration for each new product/project
Create and deliver dashboard reporting and overview of project status
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Work with external partners, including co-manufacturing partners, packaging vendors, and equipment manufacturers
Collaborate with cross-functional leaders in each department impacted by projects to gather requirements, establish scope definition, define accurate timelines and deliverables
Identify and escalate project risks and issues appropriately
Manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and develop / test contingency plans
Conduct post project review to influence continuous improvement for project delivery

What we are looking for...
B.A. or B.S. required
3+ years of experience in project management, with focus on commercializing manufactured goods
CPG experience required; Cannabis experience preferred but not required
CPM or PMP certification preferred, but not required
Working knowledge of Asana and/or similar project management application
Organized, methodical, strong steering, analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to think strategically along with a willingness to get your hands dirty is critical
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and environments
Ability to use instinct and experience to help teams navigate through project challenges
Genuine intellectual curiosity, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to form strong working relationships within a team
High capacity for execution. You can get a lot done in a short period of time.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects via prioritization, planning and task delegation (10 - 20 new product launches at one time).
