The Opportunity
BioSteel is searching for an experienced and savvy Supply Chain Manager to join our rapidly growing team. The successful candidate will lead with an entrepreneurial mindset and bring rapid solutions to fast paced environment. You will work across a matrixed team between BioSteel and Canopy Growth to ensure that the end-to-end Supply Chain operates with speed and agility. You will bring your in-depth experience and roll up the sleeves, ownership mentality to deliver both short- and long-term business needs.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Supply Chain Management
o Be the primary liaison between BioSteel Commercial Leadership and Canopy Growth Operations teams.
o Work hand in hand with partners in Customer Operations, Logistics, Sales, Integrated Business Planning (IBP), Quality, Regulatory & Procurement to deliver against business and functional objectives.
o Ensure monthly S&OP processes are executed and that all functions are accountable and well informed.
o Ensure that purchase orders align to forecast and near-term customer demand.
o Oversee the weekly Amazon fulfilment cycle.
o Work cross functionally to remove barriers that achieve fill rate metrics and ongoing customer requests.
o Project manage Value-Added Service programs with 3PLs and repackers.
o Work cross functionally to identify and deliver cost saving solutions in the network.
o Evaluate and execute new Supply Chain strategies as defined by the business needs.
o Create innovative and agile solutions to address evolving customer needs.
  • Inventory Management
o Coach and develop peers to set and manage a dynamic growth focused inventory policy.
o Ensure weekly, monthly, and quarterly inventory management venues are optimizing the in-stock position.
o Mitigate all at risk and out of stock skus with urgency.
o Regularly review and manage sku level inventory segmentation policy.
o Work with IBP teams to identify and mitigate obsolete inventory across finished goods and raw materials.
o Manage sku rationalization analysis and recommendations.
o Support IBP team with achieving inventory targets.
  • Commercialization
o Working closely with Product Team, be the Supply Chain lead for innovation from approval to first production.
o Work with Procurement team to identify and select partners for new projects.
o Work with commercial teams and demand planning to deliver on forecast for new product introduction.
o Ensure Procurement Team and suppliers are well informed to scale up new projects and that our timelines are met.
  • Continuous Improvement
o Vigilance for process development, supporting tools and adherence thereto.
o Work with Supply Partners to uncover upstream and downstream cost savings that can be realized by BioSteel.
o Identify and implement cross functional process improvements to streamline transactional and business operations.

Position Requirements
  • 6 - 10 years multifunctional experience across Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations Management.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross functionally with peers and leadership.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • University degree with a preference for Supply Chain, Business, Engineering.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, particularly NetSuite and SAP.
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with CPG, retail, E-Comm companies is a must.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
