This position will be based out of Marshall, MI, but we can be flexible on the day-to-day work location of the EDOR. What You Will Be Doing
Establish both short-term results and long-term strategy, including revenue forecasting by Retail location
Drive monthly revenue results and take accountability for both short-term success and longer-term strategy
Build and monitor the revenue pipeline and leads, adjusting as necessary to create sustainable growth in the wholesale sales market
Manage the revenue cycle from customer acquisition to engagement to success
Plan and organize trade shows, field days/demonstrations, and other sales promotion activities as needed
Drive a “lean startup” style environment of constant experimentation and learning
Work closely with Operations and Finance department to define parameters of pricing and promotions to drive profitable sales
Lead strategic/business planning efforts, including company positioning, market and competitive analysis, customer segment selection and penetration plans, and related product positioning
Partner with Marketing & Branding leadership to create and execute winning marketing strategies to drive profitable growth
Set and execute the strategic “go to market” strategies for all brands and new products and use data to drive better product marketing and pricing strategy
Define the performance metrics and KPI’s for running an efficient retail organization
Provide customer feedback to other functional groups on future trends and needs in product development
The Experience You Bring
Bachelor's Degree; and/or MBA preferred
10+ years executive level experience in leading sales as an Executive Director of Revenue or Director of Revenue or in a fast paced, high growth environment; prior experience at a CPG, cannabis or manufacturing/distribution company strongly preferred
Previous experience working in a hyper-growth environment (scaling, aggregating, integrating businesses) is critical. Specifically, the ideal candidate will have worked in a dynamic growth environment where the focus has been on aggressively scaling up operations to take advantage of a significant market opportunity
Strong project management skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements, system overhauls, and solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
Collaborative approach to managing relationships at the executive level, and the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams to meet goals and drive growth, impact, and organizational performance
Significant experience in hiring, building and managing a top performing Sales, Marketing and Business Development team in a high-growth environment
Highly motivated with a proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth though wholesale channels
Thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product and service management, sales, and business development; along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance
Mastery of negotiations and contractual terms analysis
An operator's understanding of the sales funnel data and management
Business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting industry background preferred
Previous experience developing the strategic direction of a business, implementing that plan and supporting the Sales and Business Development side of the business
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to negotiate well
Experience and knowledge in risk management and evaluation
Must be an individual with integrity and high ethical standards that is comfortable with creating systems of accountability
Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under challenging circumstances
Ability to travel 40% of the time throughout the state of Michigan
Physical Requirements:
Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
Regularly spend long hours in intense concentration reviewing and entering financial information into a computer
Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds
