Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, prioritize, and lead the execution of an IT Roadmap for infrastructure, architecture, information security, and IT service delivery
  • Ensures IT strategy is aligned to up-to-date methodologies, technologies, standards, protocols and tools and supports the overall business strategy
  • Leads infrastructure, information security, and service delivery teams
  • Oversees technology operations, including corporate communication systems, local area networks, wide-area networks, server infrastructure, computer systems, operating systems, and cloud infrastructure
  • Works collaboratively with other departments and key stakeholders to maintain a high level of communication, understanding, and customer satisfaction with the IT services
  • Responsible for ensuring enterprise IT and information security risks are flagged in projects and that technology solutions are provided to manage risks
  • Review and assess the existing IT General Controls Framework
  • Managing strategic vendor and partnership relationships
  • Maintain and improve strategic compliance and governance requirements, certifications as required by the organization

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems or related field.
  • Min. 10 years in IT experience with leadership responsibilities in a technology domain.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years managing cross-functional teams or projects and providing technical expertise to senior level management and key stakeholders.
  • CISSP and CRISC certifications an asset
  • Large ERP implementation experience an asset
  • Experience with Enterprise Security products and services
  • Professional experience in IT, including experience in architecture, operations and cybersecurity.

  • Proven expertise and strategic involvement in Information Security (policies, procedures, standards) and Data Standards
  • Management and leadership at a team level and driving technology solutions through design and operations.
  • Strong communication skills with a proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff, business stakeholders and senior management.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
  • Must pass an RCMP security clearance

Physical Demands
While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to lift up to and including 25lbs, sit and/or stand for extended periods of time and reach with arms/hands. Walking, climbing stairs, standing, and moving items is occasionally required. The employee must wear the required PPE to complete their job functions. The company reserves the right to modify PPE requirements based on regulatory, compliance and operational needs.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to unprocessed cannabis products/supplies. The working environment can be noisy and dusty at times. The employee will be provided with the appropriate (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment and they must adhere to legal requirements regarding PPE to manage their own personal safety under these conditions. In addition, to ensure compliance and minimize contamination within a controlled environment, the employees may be required to wear latex gloves a cleanroom suit.
