Position Overview: The Director of Cultivation is responsible for managing all cultivation operations from propagation through harvest in a commercial cannabis facility. This position will be expected to partner with bloom department managers to forecast workflow and labor demand, maintaining appropriate staffing levels to guarantee deadlines are met, plant health is maintained, and pest and pathogen pressure is mitigated through an IPM schedule. The Director of Cultivation will also be expected to engage in continuous research and development around improvements in the garden which will be achieved through operational efficiencies, improving and creating SOP’s, and maintaining a streamlined production cycle.

Minimum 2 years of experience directly managing all aspects of indoor cannabis cultivation within a licensed commercial facility
Minimum 5 years of cumulative cannabis cultivation knowledge.
Demonstrated success cultivating cannabis at scale while maintaining annual departmental budgets.
Ability to set and meet goals within structured timeframes
Able to work in a fast paced environment and the flexibility to adapt to change as needed
At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US and willing to submit to a background check/fingerprint clearance.
May be required to lift, pull or push 50+ pounds in boxes, plants, tools, and various heavy equipment. Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be required
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Ability to analyze and process information, identify problems and develop effective solutions and strategies
Well versed in commercial cultivation infrastructure, environmental controls and equipment, fertigation and irrigation systems
Adept in project management and workflow software, Excel spreadsheets, developing and tracking KPI’s, inventory management, labor forecasting, and efficient task delegation
Bachelor's degree in plant science, business, or management, or 4+ years equivalent experience as a Cultivation Manager in a commercial cannabis facility
