As the Director of Consumer Insights and Analytics, you will report to the VP of Product Commercialization and lead analytics who translate robust consumer data across into actionable insights for use across the company. This role works closely with Marketing, Product, and Brand teams to embed consumer understanding throughout our organization. The mission is to deepen our understanding of consumers and their journey(s) to enable product and business teams to design dynamic, relevant, and compelling products, communications, campaigns, and experiences. Note that this is a new role in the organization, and will be critical in broadening the insights capabilities of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret data from a variety of resources to uncover insights on how we may best serve our consumers / discover future and current consumption trends/support and lead brand health tracking metrics
  • Partner with the Product and R&D teams to help create disruptive, consumer-driven, culturally-relevant brands and products that accelerate growth in wellness/cannabis categories as well as envision the future of cannabis consumption.
  • Pre-launch validation and concept testing, through quantitative consumer research, traditional fieldwork, or ethnographic research.
  • Post-launch product tracking (trial, repeat, loyalty), including survey design and fieldwork, and measurement of consumer feedback.
  • Lead traditional market research programs, such as brand tracking, category tracking, consumer usage, and attitude studies, ad-testing, and message recall.

Requirements For Success


  • 10+ years of experience working in a field related to consumer data, insights, and analytics
  • Ability to translate insights from consumer behavior into actionable business recommendations
  • Ability to translate business questions into the appropriate analytics methodology
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Knowledge of and experience with quantitative and qualitative consumer market research
  • Knowledge of and experience with consumer database analysis
  • Strong data analysis communication skills, both written/verbal and formal/informal
  • Familiarity with technology solutions for data dashboards
  • Subject to background check per state cannabis requirements
