Promotes, creates, and enforces a safe working environment for the Bottling Team, while complying with all Federal, State, and company safety polices.
Promotes, creates, and enforces GMP compliance pertaining to all relevant Standard Operating Procedures, while complying with all Federal, State, and company GMP compliance policies.
Ensures that all products are bottled in a manner that supports inventory and sales needs and prevents out-of-stock or lost sales.
Ensures that all work orders, labels, cartons, bottles, caps, and other required items are available in a timely manner that prevents downtime and inefficiencies.
Minimizes downtime on machinery by inspecting logs, working with employees for performance improvement, and providing feedback in a timely and specific manner.
Improves and maintains efficiencies in line set ups, breakdowns, and cleaning.
Maintains product quality by managing the flow of the PLR (Packaging and Labeling Record) process, training the operators to document the PLR correctly and reviewing the records for accuracy and completeness, avoiding any preventable operator errors.
Recruits and cross trains all employees to establish and maintain staffing redundancies.
Ensures effective and consistent leadership for and management of Bottling employees.
Defines opportunities for efficiencies with equipment utilization, planning, personnel, etc. and implements improvements effectively to increase OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) rating.
Establishes, reviews, communicates, and implements initiatives to positively influence metrics for all areas in Bottling, with primary focus on OEE.
Ensures all department job descriptions (JDs) are kept up-to-date and that each employee is knowledgeable of his/her JD and KPIs.
Ensures all cGMP training is carried out in a timely manner and recorded properly in training schedules.
Coordinates department goals with the operational corporate plan and meets or exceeds all operational KPIs in a timely manner.
Promotes, creates, and enforces company policies and procedures at all times.
Manages the Assistant Bottling Manager and all Bottling Technicians, including cap line, liquid line, and hand filling.
Education and/or Experience:
B.S or M.S degree in relevant field is strongly preferred.
Functional knowledge of employee, warehouse, inventory, and order processing management with five (5) years of experience.
