The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the coordination of all project aspects including timelines, budgets, and scope. S/he will promote and ensure cross-functional coordination of all project management activities and foresee key interdependencies and partner with Global Product Leaders.
Provide tactical and operational leadership project development teams.
Lead and support the definition, creation, documentation and maintenance of Project Management standards & processes
Promote the use of best practices with the PMO
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of systems/databases for the purpose of tracking, reporting and improving decisions regarding project performance, interfacing closely with the corporate IS ecosystem
Ensure consistent application and knowledge of project management methodologies, processes and tools across the function
Promote cross-functional transformation across product teams
Act as the single source of truth for all project management activities
Bachelor’s degree in science or a business-related field is required; Advanced degree in science or a business-related field is preferred
Professional certification with a Project Management Institute (PMI) is desired
8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences
6+ years of recent experience as a project manager leading complex pharmaceutical projects in a multi-disciplinary, global environment is strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to clearly and concisely communicate orally and written, and present key information to senior leadership
Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
Able to develop strong partnerships and successfully operate in a matrix-based organization while balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders
