What You Will Do

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Effectively Open, Close, and Operate the store as per posted Operating hours
  • Interview, recruit, train and coach store associates, with a focus on their development
  • Evaluate and take action to improve team morale by creating a supportive employee and guest centred environment
  • Support sales, staffing and operational budgets and plans to ensure profitability
  • Actively look for ways to improve performance and guest service standards
  • Share Best Practices with colleagues and other store GMs to increase performance levels and guest satisfaction
  • Support store inventory counts, and maintenance of variance and shrinkage targets
  • Support the accurate and efficient maintenance of assigned records, Company funds and property in accordance with Company and Government policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all statutory regulations affecting health and safety, and ensure that any safety hazards are identified and rectified
  • Understand and effectively follow all Cannoe values, policies and procedures
  • Understand and effectively follow all Government regulations, policies and procedures

Requirements

 

 

  • 1-2+ years of leadership experience managing in retail or hospitality
  • Cansell and Retail Manager license in place or ready to be acquired
  • Post-Secondary education, in business and/or hospitality preferred
  • Experience in all aspects of customer service and people management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and work as part of team
  • Strong working knowledge of retail industry principles, methods, practices, and techniques
  • Ability to supervise employees
  • Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of customers and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
  • Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven experience in training, coaching, and mentoring employees
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to coordinate and conduct training
  • Required to work flexible hours inclusive of evenings and weekends
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
