Position: Work closely with the Cultivation Manager to run all Cultivation Departments. Provides leadership and guidance to the Cultivation Supervisors. Trains and assists all levels of Cultivation employees as needed. Creates and executes a well-planned and organized Cultivation Schedule.

Authority and Supervision:

  • Report directly to the Cultivation Manager
  • Supervision of Cultivation Supervisors

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow NETA Policies & Procedures for the daily operations and fully comply with all state marijuana regulations
  • Assists in managing all aspects of cultivation operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational and personnel policies and procedures
  • Works closely with Cultivation Manager to continuously develop, maintain, and enforce holistic cultivation program to ensure quality and production throughput metrics are achieved
  • Responsible for the implementation of cultivation protocols and techniques
  • Standardizes processes and proper grow techniques
  • Works closely with the Cultivation Management and IPM Supervisors to develop and execute preventative maintenance and pest management program
  • Accurate data input, management, and reporting in Seed-to-Sale software
  • Works closely with Cultivation Manager to maintain and regulate building management system and grow room environmental control parameters
  • Works closely with Cultivation Manager to develop, monitor, and update fertigation schedule and nutrient program
  • Works closely with the Cultivation Manager to create engaging, situation-based training; acts as a mentor and nurtures professional, high-level decision making
  • Conducts all internal and external interviews for on-boarding new hires. Responsible for all aspects of departmental training, including initiating, updating and scheduling; works directly with and through Training Ambassadors
  • Initiates and updates cultivation training and SOPs, works closely with Cultivation Manager and Training Ambassadors to schedule all training and initiating new procedural, product, or equipment initiatives
  • Gathers data and provides feedback related to the research, development, and implementation of any new processes
  • Establishes, executes, and maintains a thorough harvest schedule, in coordination with the Cultivation and Harvest Management Teams, to harvest plants at peak quality
  • Establishes, executes, and maintains a thorough Cloning Schedule, in coordination with the CNV Supervisors and Cultivation Manager, to ensure we reach our target population numbers, and have a solid variety of different strains reaching the stores
  • Liaises with Inventory Management, Supply Chain Management, and Retail Operations to ensure needs are met
  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and yearly projections based on flower yields, room averages, and throughput
  • Works directly with third party consultants to provide optimal solutions
  • Responds to facility related failures promptly while maintaining preventative tasks in accordance with facility needs
  • Works closely with R&D Team to assist with executing any projects that relate to all cultivation improvements
  • Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Age 21 or over (Required)
  • High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
  • Valid Driver's License and/or Government Issued Photo ID (Required)
  • Additional degree or 5 years related experience (Strongly Preferred)
  • Supervisor experience (Required)
  • After hours on-call availability (Required)
  • Expert knowledge of cannabis cultivation and genetics
  • Expert knowledge of plant pests and pathogens
  • Upbeat and high energy professional, very organized and detail oriented
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and multitasking skills
  • Passionate about the importance of medical marijuana

Physical capability: Indoor growing environment. Requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, and consistent attention to detail for 10 hours per day. Must be able to bend, lift and stoop continuously. Ability to lift 60 lbs. unassisted and up to 80 lbs. assisted.
