Position Summary: To provide vision, leadership, and to oversee and manage all operational aspects of the publicly traded cannabis company and its subsidies. The Director of Operations is responsible for administration, and team management processes relating to the Company’s operations and its business units. The Director of Operations will manage operational budgeting, SOP management, QA/QC, customer service, administrative, and all other operational aspects related to CATV’s businesses as a public cannabis company. Regularly, the Director of Operations must manage and evaluate the operational performance of the company in accordance with long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts; help reach annual and periodic financial objectives, and provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term planning.

This is a vital leadership role that drives results, spurs growth, and increases the overall efficiency of the company. The Director of Operations is responsible for implementing and maintaining systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. This position works collaboratively with other departments and the executive leadership team in order to support the CATV’s brand, achieve the goals and mission of the organization. The Director of Operations is responsible for coordinating accounting efforts, operational compliance, process and procedure, and for ensuring operational transparency and management. The Director of Operations will support the COO in overseeing required operational performance reports, including inventory, quality, cash flows, and budgets to compile operational reports and provide them to the executive team. At all times treat colleagues, clients, and the public in accordance with CATV’s core values.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the day to day operations and administration of the company
  • Implement and execute the company’s business plan
  • Oversee operations in each business unit of the company’s overall portfolio
  • Oversee process with customers to ensure communication and quality service
  • Produce reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to keep executive management informed about the company’s operations
  • Produce other operational reports as requested by the executive team
  • Establish and manage administrative, HR, QA/QC, cannabis operations (cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, retail) functions and SOPs
  • Coordinate with accounting and HR regarding employees regarding payroll and direct deposits and other benefits for each business unit
  • Represent the company to department heads, managers, employees, and outside vendors and stakeholders
  • Provide management to staff and leadership to the organization that aligns with the business plan and strategic vision
  • Maintain positive relationships with outside strategic partners and regulators
  • Ensure the process for the collection of all required documents in each business unit from employees
  • Ensure accurate internal documentation among each department and each business unit from employees
  • Effectively communicate and foster growth among the executive team and employees
  • Assist executive team members in creating, growing, and building a world class, industry leading organization
  • Make recommendations to executive management on operational concerns and actions
  • Participate and contribute as a member of executive team meetings
  • Support CFO to achieve favorable financial results for sales, profitability, cash flow, systems, financial systems, controls, and reporting
  • Partner with CEO and COO to achieve favorable results regarding mergers and acquisitions
  • Maintain knowledge of operational compliance best practices
  • Assist in review and development of internal processes and procedures and for each business unit as needed
  • Drive company results for operations by setting challenging, yet realistic goals, for growth, performance, and profitability
  • Participate in personal growth and continuing education
  • Participate in training and continuing education as assigned
  • Maintain and enforce policies and procedures
  • Complete other assigned duties as needed

Position Qualifications:

  • Education – Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field. MBA Preferred.
  • Experience – Minimum six years experience as an executive in a publicly traded company. 10 years in Business related fields. Significant experience working with multiple operations, internal controls, SOPs, and compliance-related issues. Experience and knowledge about the marijuana industry is welcomed but not required. Background coordinating with staff to establish, manage, and upgrade operational and IT systems and their implementation is strongly preferred.
  • Skills – Exceptional executive presence, business acumen, communication, and presentation skills required. Outstanding knowledge and understanding of operational compliance and SEC reporting required. Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills required. Motivated and proactive work ethic and experience in leading others by accountability and example. Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence, and executive presence - ability to motivate staff and hold them accountable. Typing and word processing skills above average. Budgeting and/or financially focused mindset helpful.

Position Schedule:

  • Position is expected to work a 40 hour work week with hours varying between the hours of 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM.

Pay: $65,579.00 - $80,153.00 per year
