Parallel is looking for an experienced IT professional who can successfully deliver and lead complex and strategic initiatives and set up robust, SOX compliant portfolio management processes. In addition to excellent program/project management skills we are looking for someone who understands the technology, business processes and business change management implications of delivering enterprise level business changes successfully. The successful individual will be setting up PMO best practices as well as leading a highly visibility and strategic implementation of omnichannel capabilities which will drive business performance and enhance enterprise value. Working with both external and internal teams, this individual needs to bring structured planning, requirements gathering and cross functional dependency alignment to the project and especially support the internal development team in planning and delivering against the project requirements.
We are looking for someone who is highly versatile and can take advantage of the many career opportunities in a fast growing and entrepreneurial company. Establishing processes for portfolio management and execution and ensuring a successful launch of the first phases of the transformation in Massachusetts and Florida in 2021 is critical and the successful candidate will need to work with the teams to develop appropriate templates and organizational capabilities to integrate new businesses and manage enhancements quickly and in a "Business and Usual" mode.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Define and deploy SOX compliant, Portfolio Management processes for the IT team at Parallel
Establish tools to support Project prioritization and execution covering both waterfall and agile project methodologies
Ensure that project processes and documentation meets any SOX control requirements
Provide Project/Program management leadership for the Digital Omnichannel project.
Develop and maintain detailed, cross functional project plan.
Develop integrated planning and status update processes across internal and external teams.
Lead project planning and status meetings to ensure timelines and budgets are respected.
Manage and escalate as appropriate project risks and issues.
Work with internal Development team to ensure integration capabilities are fully defined and delivered on time.
Work with Business and IT leadership to ensure appropriate change management plans are developed.
Effectively present information and respond to diverse work groups including C-level management
Work with the teams to ensure comprehensive QA and testing processes are defined and where possible create testing scenarios that are reusable assets.
Work with IT New Ventures team to develop streamlined "on-boarding" methodology for any new companies who need to migrate to this state of the art omnichannel experience.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS YOU'LL BRING
Experience of managing a complex portfolio of projects within a SOX compliant organization.
Working closely with business leaders on project prioritization and benefit delivery post project go-live.
10 years' experience covering at least of 2 of the 3 following areas are essential:
Complex Technical program management.
Development and implementation of complex, API based integration capabilities.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business / professional documentation, technical procedures and standards.
Understanding of testing and change management processes and procedures.
Conduct timely project update meetings with both technical and non-technical attendees.
Be extremely detail oriented.
Ability to grasp technical concepts quickly, problem solve in real-time, and be able to adapt to changing environment.
Provide timely communication on risk and issue status and resolution.
Must be highly organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Work closely across business units to understand all systems.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
Be an independent and fast learner.
Deal with ambiguity and thrive in a fast-paced business environment.
Be a dependable team player with strong business acuity, enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Previous experience in establishing a Program Management Office in a SOX compliant organization
Experience working in omnichannel Retail environments.
Understanding of the Cannabis industry and regulations.
Direct to Consumer business models and integration needs.
