Job purpose

The California General Manager is responsible for directing production and distribution for The Clear's™ products In the State as well as growing sales through dispensaries/rec retailers that are carrying our products. The position fulfills a key leadership role within LCA to ensure compliance, quality assurance, profitability and revenue growth.

Duties And Responsibilities

The position has two primary areas of duty and responsibility:

Production and Distribution Management – manage “The Clear” family of products, over seeing the manufacturing and distribution to ensure accuracy, timeliness, quality, and to maximize margins.
  • In collaboration with LCA and CCI leadership, set manufacturing levels including quantities by SKU.
  • Place hardware and packaging orders with “The Clear” licensor Clear Cannabis Inc.
  • Place orders with compliant California contract manufacturer(s).
  • Oversee oil grading and manufacturing quality control at the contract manufacturer level.
  • Work with the manufacturer to ensure testing is as cost-efficient as possible.
  • Facilitate payments to manufacturer.
  • Oversee clear and timely communication between manufacturer and distributor.
  • Monitor deliveries from distributor to dispensaries/retailers to ensure they’re accurate and timely.
  • Work with distributor to ensure deliveries are as efficient as possible.
  • In coordination with LCA leadership, regularly evaluate manufacturers and distributors to ensure The Clear is getting the best prices and quality through vendor research, screening and negotiation.
  • Work with the Clear Cannabis Inc hardware, packaging, terpene and label procurement team to ensure all elements of our CA product packaging are fully compliant.

Brand Building – increase sales of The Clear products among dispensaries/rec retailers through education, promotions, events and awareness campaigns in support of and in coordination with sales leadership and sales team.
  • Educate budtenders and other staff members at dispensary/rec retailers on The Clear products, history, features and benefits, and sales techniques.
  • Coordinate store pop-ups and other brand events to help increase sales.
  • In cooperation with sales leadership and sales team, plan and coordinate discounts and other promotional events to help increase sales.
  • Develop relationships with buyers and store management to promote brand credibility, customer service and sales.
  • Represent The Clear at local industry functions.
  • In coordination with LCA and CCI leadership, monitor regulatory changes in CA (considered, planned and enacted) to ensure regulations are as fair and favorable to The Clear products as possible and to ensure we’re fully compliant.
  • In coordination with LCA and CCI leadership and marketing staff, develop marketing materials to help grow sales in the State and to ensure that all marketing and promotional activities are fully compliant.
  • Compile data on competitive products including price comps and communicate to the CCI contract agency sales leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with a concentration in business, marketing or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience in the cannabis Industry, preferably in manufacturing and distribution management and/or sales.
  • 2+ years successfully managing complex projects.
  • An understanding of the manufacturing, distribution and retail cannabis market In CA.
  • Experience In conducting training.
  • Experience promoting brands.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and in collaboration with all levels of employees, management, and external customers to maximize performance and results.
  • Superior attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Expert time-management, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to an often-changing and rapid-paced work environment.
